The Global Practice Management System (GPMS) went live in September 2017 with the implementation of SAP across members of our global Firm. The Community of Excellence (CoE) is a key element of the permanent infrastructure that supports the ongoing management and improvement of our new business platform. The CoE comprises senior business leaders and process owners from across various regional offices.
Reporting to the FM & P2P Process Owner , the Statutory and Tax Reporting Process Lead will provide leadership, governance and support for the systems and processes relating to Statutory and Tax Reporting.
The role will facilitate the design, documentation and implementation of best practice, policies and processes to support the effective administration of the Statutory and Tax Reporting function in the GPMS solution.
The individual will be the Statutory and Tax Reporting subject matter expert supporting regions and the GSC in troubleshooting issues.
Assist Regions and GSC with day to day activities relating to statutory & tax reporting
Utilizing the agreed tools, triage functional incidents and assign functional/technical resolver groups within or outside of the CoE
Diagnose and support the resolution of statutory & tax reporting system defects identified by users
Work alongside NRF regional staff and third parties to ensure continuing stability of the GPMS statutory & tax reporting solution
Provide training and expert knowledge regarding the statutory & tax reporting business process and standard operating procedures to business users
Make updates to the chart of accounts and SAP organizational structure
Support the Statutory and Tax Reporting function across the regions
Other activities as directed by the FM/P2P Process Owner or Head of CoE
Qualifications and experience
SAP FICO experience required
Ability to become a subject matter expert on the GPMS business processes and systems
A high level of computer literacy and competence
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with a client service driven approach
Strong problem solver with a logical and methodical approach to issues
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Flexible approach to working hours and travel
Positive, committed and prepared to use initiative and learn
Ability to take responsibility, meet deadlines and work under pressure with multiple tasks
Willingness to work as a member of the team and the ability to influence the team
Ability to successfully collaborate with various regional stakeholders to achieve results
Ability to analyze and design business processes and performance measurements
Ability to travel to NRF regions
