We're looking for a Clerk who will provide high level advice, support and administrative assistance to our governing body which oversees school life.

Part-time: 4 hours per week

Paid weeks per year: 52 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

Start date: As soon after interview as possible in September or October

About the Role

Your responsibilities would include arranging meetings, taking minutes, keeping records, and advising the governing body on local and national developments that will impact on their work. You must have experience of minute-taking, good ICT and communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. Training for clerks is provided by the local authority, as well as opportunities to network with other clerks.

Flexibility in terms of working hours is required. The full governing body and committees meet as follows:
  • Full Governing Body - 3 times a year between the hours of 17.30-19.30 at School.
  • Full Governing Body - 1 online during the summer term
  • Committee Meetings - up to 12 meetings (spread across three committees) during the academic year. All of which take place during or just outside of school hours.

You maybe be required to clerk additional meetings and panels as required.
