About Tetra Tech
St Mary St, Cardiff CF10 1DY, UK
Job description
Join a collaborative, UK-wide support team where your problem-solving skills, technical mindset and ability to make things happen will directly support the success of our engineering professionals.
You'll provide a high-quality internal support service across operational and office-based activities, working closely with teams including Facilities, Health & Safety, Compliance and Procurement. As part of a centralised service, you'll collaborate with colleagues across the UK to balance priorities, share expertise and deliver a consistent experience.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, resolving complex requests and finding practical solutions. You'll help keep our offices operating safely and effectively, while supporting evolving business needs and new ways of working.
Your Impact in this position
You'll be a trusted point of support, confidently managing complex or sensitive requests and knowing when escalation is needed. Your work will range from office and compliance checks to IT asset monitoring, procedural documentation and supporting larger operational initiatives.
You'll champion continuous improvement, encourage positive change and help colleagues understand new processes and technologies. You'll also contribute to consistent best practice across our UK operations, while remaining responsive to local requirements and changing priorities.
Core Capabilities
Customer & Stakeholder Focus - Build strong working relationships, understand different requirements and adapt your communication to deliver a responsive, professional service.
Problem Solving & Decision Making - Approach complex challenges logically, identify workable solutions and make sound decisions while recognising when escalation is appropriate.
Ownership & Delivery - Take responsibility for your workload, prioritise effectively and deliver detailed tasks accurately, even when priorities change or deadlines are demanding.
Collaboration & Adaptability - Work effectively both independently and with colleagues across locations and functions, readily supporting new activities as business needs evolve.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance - Champion better ways of working while maintaining high standards across operational procedures, security, GDPR, Health & Safety and wider compliance requirements.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
You'll bring strong interpersonal, organisational and customer-service skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm in a busy professional environment. Confidence using Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, is beneficial, alongside an enthusiasm for learning new technologies, processes and ways of working.
Working Environment
You'll work within a collaborative UK-wide team in a professional engineering environment. The role includes office-based responsibilities and may require travel to other locations to support operational priorities. Flexibility may occasionally be needed for urgent requests or agreed out-of-hours activities.
