Are you ready to take your accounting skills to the next level? As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting budget managers within the Children and Families directorate. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with teams, conduct reconciliations, and contribute to financial forecasts. Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference!

In this exciting role, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting Budget Managers: Work closely with budget managers across various teams to ensure effective budget management.
  • Monitoring Budgets: Assist with day-to-day finance tasks and budget monitoring to keep everything on track.
  • Providing Financial Advice: Offer valuable financial insights to managers when needed.
  • Data Analysis: Use your excellent spreadsheet skills to analyse and reconcile complex financial data.
  • Contributing to Decisions: Play a part in decision-making processes that positively impact our services.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Full AAT Qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Financial Management: Understanding of financial frameworks, particularly in a public sector setting.
  • Experience in Finance: Previous experience working in a finance team is highly desirable.
