Assistant Accountant, Audit

KPMG in the British Virgin Islands is currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its Audit team.

Job Description

Assist the in-charge auditor on large engagements:
• Check figures within financial information to supporting documentation
• Perform simple audit procedures
• Perform inventory counts (at client sites)
• Working at/with clients on location
• First review of financial statements for mathematical and grammar checks
• Assist with department socials and internal group CSR initiatives
• Participate in mentoring work experience high school students
• Work directly with managers on small engagements

Job Requirements

Applicants must have either an Associates, Bachelors, or Graduate degree in accounting from an accredited program with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average. A desire to achieve a recognized accounting designation in the near future (CPA, ACCA) would be advantageous. Applicants must have the ability to multi-task, complete technical trainings and can work simultaneously on several projects with strong interpersonal skills and strong spoken and written communication.
