Job description

We're looking for an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join our leading Anti-Social Behaviour service in the Housing team here at Southern Housing.
Reporting to the ASB Manager, you'll deliver excellent service to residents affected by ASB. You'll triage new ASB reports, assess situations, and create action plans to investigate, manage risks, and support those affected. You'll manage a varied ASB caseload, investigate incidents, evaluate evidence, and take appropriate action, including legal remedies. You'll also contribute to neighbourhood strategies to tackle ASB.

Principal duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Completing risk assessments and dynamically assess situations to tackle ASB and support complainants.
  • Investigating reports of nuisance, harassment, and anti-social behaviour (and occasionally domestic abuse), and determine appropriate actions.
  • Deciding on additional measures for evidence gathering, such as sound recording and CCTV.
  • Maintaining high standards of case management and support teams through supervision.
  • Keeping meticulous records of all actions, discussions, and decisions.

This is a fixed-term contract until April 2027. The role is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will be based at our Farringdon office, Fleet House, with flexible hybrid working and an expectation of around two days per week in the office.

What you'll need:
  • Experience in ASB case management, preferably in social housing.
  • Excellent communication skills across various channels.
  • Teamwork skills to deliver excellent service in a challenging environment.
  • Experience with equality and diversity issues, including Equality Impact Assessments.
  • Professional curiosity to identify residents with support needs.
  • Ability to manage resilience in a challenging environment.
  • Research and analytical skills to interrogate partnership data bases to support multi agency case reviews and action planning.

In your responses to the supporting application questions, it is important that you demonstrate how you meet each of the above criteria, using real examples wherever possible.
