About the Role

Nottingham City Council is committed to creating neighbourhoods where residents feel safe, supported, and proud to live. We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Enforcement Officer (ASB) to join our City North Team. As an Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of anti-social behaviour complaints, working closely with tenants, residents, the Police, Council departments, partner agencies, and internal teams to achieve positive outcomes.

The post holder will lead and investigate complex and serious anti social behaviour and environmental crime cases, working collaboratively with partner agencies to identify risk, protect vulnerable individuals and communities, and take timely and proportionate enforcement action. The postholder will utilise a wide range of statutory tools and powers while ensuring effective safeguarding referrals and a high standard of witness and victim support.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Hold or work towards a BTEC Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Neighbourhood Nuisance & Anti Social Behaviour Case Management or similar.

• Detailed working knowledge of legislation regarding anti-social behaviour, environmental crime, housing, equalities and mental health legislation including interpretation and application of legislation.

• Experience of investigating and enforcing both criminal and civil activities.

• Must be able to visit and inspect both properties and land in relation to a variety of anti-social behaviour and environmental crime issues.

- This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.

- A NPPV (Non-Police Personal Vetting) is required for this post. This requires candidates to have lived in the UK for three or more years on the day of application.
