About the Internship opportunity:

We're excited to be offering Architectural Summer Internship s across our London, Manchester, and Birmingham offices.

We have a tremendous opportunity in front of us to build upon strength to develop an interdisciplinary planning, design and delivery practice that is uniquely Jacobs, that sets the direction for the industry, and is home to the very best and brightest design thinkers, disruptors, technical experts, visionaries and storytellers.

Our business unit brings together engineers, architects, designers, MEP & BIM specialists, surveyors, urban designers, project managers and transport planners to provide collaborative and coordinated value design solutions for our clients both nationally and internationally.

Our Architects work within a multi-disciplinary design team set-up, delivering design solutions across multiple sectors from Public sector, Defence , Transportation, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing and Mixed-Use development. The team deliver projects across all stages of the building design and construction process from initial strategic briefing, where client objectives and feasibility studies conducted; through to development of conceptual and technical proposals, to construction phase delivery. Some of the work the team undertake on a day to day basis includes, reviewing and refining design proposals using various media. This includes traditional methods such as hand-sketching to develop design concepts and detailed design solutions, through to project delivery using BIM (Building Information Modelling).

• On track to complete a degree in Architecture .
• A flexible and innovative self-starter who's passionate about developing new skills

• Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems
• Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients' requirements
• A well-rounded individual - have you worked in a bar? Been captain of a sports team or volunteered for a charity? Tell us - we're looking for people with interesting stories and experiences!
• You must be available to join the 8-week programme starting 1 st July 2024 - 22 nd August 2024.
• You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
