For the Undergraduate Open Day we are looking for students from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences to represent their course/faculty and talk to visitors about their course and life at ARU.

Date: Saturday 3rd October 2026

Times: 09:00 - 14:30

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Location: Cambridge Campus - this role is based ON CAMPUS

Duties:
  • Assisting with the setting up and dismantling of event signage and spaces.
  • Positively represent ARU and warmly welcome visitors.
  • Direct and signpost people around campus.
  • Chat to students and their guest about your course area and what it's like to study at ARU.
  • Provide support to academics in the drop-in and course activities.
  • Share your student knowledge and experiences.
  • Support any demonstrations or discuss displays of student work.
  • Deliver a facilities tour (creative courses only).
  • Provide any further support when requested by your hiring manager or AHESS staff members.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • You must be a current ARU AHESS student
  • Be proactive and willing to follow instructions from staff
  • Have excellent communication skills and be polite, helpful and engaging
  • Have a good knowledge of Cambridge Campus
