After School Club Assistant

Location: Southsea Infant School

Working Hours: Wednesday to Friday, 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM (8.25 hours per week)

Contract: Temporary- Maternity Leave. Term time only.

Pay Scale: PCC Band 3, Point 4

Are you an energetic, reliable, and caring individual who loves working with young children? We are looking for an enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to join our friendly team and help provide a safe, engaging environment for our infant pupils at the end of the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving a healthy, light afternoon snack for the children.
• Supervising pupils safely during indoor and outdoor play activities.
• Encouraging positive social interaction, creativity, and good behaviour.
• Assisting with setup, light tidying, and safe handover to parents/carers.

About You

• Warm, patient, and engaging with young children (ages 4-7).
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• An understanding of food hygiene and child safety (training can be provided).
