Job description

The Amazon Freight product allows Shippers to use Amazon's transportation network to transport products in bulk across Europe. This is an innovative technology-driven solution for the shipping needs of small and large businesses, which is scaling rapidly as an offering. Amazon Freight is part of the Amazon Transportation Services organization in Europe which is a cutting-edge supply chain technology organization and responsible for many of Amazon's best-in-class logistics offerings.
Amazon is looking for a London based Account Manager for the Amazon Freight Operations team, the backbone of the service. This person will be responsible for managing existing accounts, building trust-based relationships with Shippers, monitoring Shipper experience on a regular basis, and identifying and implementing recommendations to meet their expectations.
A successful candidate will be customer focused, results driven, analytical and have excellent communication skills. They will also work to continually improve planning processes and customer experience.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Work with business development representatives to on-board new Shippers
- Work directly with Shippers to understand their needs and expectations and monitor their satisfaction
- Work with transport planner and Shipper support teams to optimize Shipper experience and solve their pain points
- Be the voice of the customer (Shipper) and ensure the Product and Tech teams take this into account when developing new features
- Lead new projects and initiatives to solve customer pain points, optimize planning methodologies, and build new tools


Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputed university
- Strong people skills and ability to influence others
- Strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial, self-sufficient and able to operate in a fluid, ambiguous environment
- Ability to communicate across all levels of management
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English (other European languages are a plus)


Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in operations or a customer facing role
- Fluency in German or French
