Next Generation at Grosvenor

Investing in young people is key to strengthening our communities and ensuring diversity in our talent pipeline. Through partnerships across London, we provide pathways into the property sector—particularly for those historically underrepresented. Our initiatives include work experience, apprenticeships, internships, and social mobility programmes.

Grosvenor Next Generation

So far, 72 Westminster residents have gained waged placements through Groundwork London’s Westminster Wheels and Green Team programmes. Supported by our Greener Futures initiative and Westminster City Council, these placements help individuals facing employment barriers. Many have secured long-term jobs, refurbished over 3,000 bikes, and revitalized 13 hectares of green space. Seeing the impact first-hand, we plan to invest £1.5m by 2025 in green jobs and skills where they’re needed most.

To celebrate achievements, James Raynor, CEO of our UK Property business, and Councillor Geoffrey Barraclough recently joined trainees at a graduation event.

Fivefields: A Year of Social Impact

In the heart of Victoria, Fivefields is redefining flexible workspace. Behind its historic façade lies a modern, sustainable, and inclusive hub for change-makers. Developed with The Westminster Foundation and managed by x+why, it fosters a dynamic community dedicated to social impact.

Enhancing Accessibility in the UK’s Busiest Destinations

We recently launched Waymap at Liverpool ONE, a groundbreaking app that helps people, including those with visual impairments, navigate the area with precise step-by-step guidance. It works indoors, outdoors, and underground—without GPS—and offers step-free access options for those with reduced mobility.

Building Resilient Workplaces

In the latest Estates Gazette Property Podcast, our Executive Director of HR, Jo Banfield, discusses how trust, communication, and a people-first approach are essential for attracting and retaining top talent. She also explores key topics like National Insurance changes and the evolving needs of a diverse workforce.

By focusing on people and adaptability, we can create workplaces that thrive in an ever-changing world.
