Skip to main contentThe aim of the Gender Forum is to help DIO achieve its diversity and inclusion objectives as set out in its D&I Strategy and Delivery Plan. This activity will also provide a channel for individuals to share their personal experiences, develop and grow competences and network by making the right connections with colleagues across the organisation. The Gender Forum is an inclusive, supportive network that encourages discussion and exploration of gender equality issues and challenges and is open to men and women alike. We believe that a diverse workforce can bring talent and qualities that will help us be successful and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all our employees can thrive. Our efforts will ultimately enable us to improve the way we attract, support and retain colleagues and enable them to perform at their best and have a great career within DIO. The Forum includes sub-groups looking into Crossing Thresholds development programme for women, the female menopause, attracting women into Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM), men’s mental health issues and helping parents dealing with baby loss. International Women’s’ Day in March and International Men’s’ Day in November are key activities for this group. DIO has a Female and Male Gender Champion supporting this forum.
