Gender Equality at SWR
Although we have seen an increase in the number of women at SWR, we would love to see more women in roles such as engineering and train drivers. To increase the understanding of these roles, we’ve held ‘Have a Go Driver’ days so that women can talk to drivers about their experiences and try out the driver simulators.
We’ve also held open days for women at Wimbledon Depot so that they can learn more about the roles available.

Our employee networks give people the opportunity to meet and network with other employees in a confidential space and share their own lived experiences and challenges, with each network supported by an executive sponsor.
