A confidential employee service for civilians and their line managers, designed to help you deal with personal and professional issues that could be affecting your home life or work life and general wellbeing.

What is an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)?

Balancing everyday life with the requirements of work and home can create pressures for all of us.

The EAP service provides a complete support network to all MOD civilians and their line managers, which offers expert advice and compassionate guidance on a wide range of issues and is available 24/7. It offers not only reactive support when someone needs it but also proactive and preventative.

Is the EAP just counselling?  

No, in addition to counselling the EAP offers a wider range of support options for staff free of charge to the caller. For example, debt management, legal, couples counselling and Management coaching.  

Workplace Wellbeing Portal

In addition to the counselling support and advice, civilian employees and their line managers have access to a virtual library of wellbeing information, podcasts, videos and a wellbeing calendar. These informative articles and self-help guides provide support on a range of health and advisory issues, as well as instant guidance to aid an employee's physical and mental health.

The Manager’s guidance notes, and toolkit has a variety of resources to help you manage workplace health and wellbeing issues effectively.
