PiP - Pursuing Independent Paths 

In mid-January some students from PiP - Pursuing Independent Paths got to meet the team of their new work experience placement starting in February! Danny and Marcio had a great time and can’t wait to get started at British Land!

In February we welcomed four students from our community partner PiP on supported work experience at York House, our British Land headquarters. Through this initiative, adults with learning disabilities and/or autism can gain meaningful employability skills and work experience.

We're committed to creating more inclusive and accessible opportunities for our talented local communities, and were pleased to continue this partnership with PiP, following on from our successful project at Paddington Central in 2022.

‘Pedal to Peaks’ cycle challenge

On 17th October 34 British Land riders and 13 from our partners crossed the finish line of the ‘Pedal to Peaks’ cycle challenge – travelling 120km across the Peak District in support of LandAid and The Ukrainian Institute.

Our Young Readers Programme has reached almost 8,000 children this year alone and 63,000 children over the past 11 years.

In partnership with National Literacy Trust, we work with schools around our places, encouraging children aged 11 and under to read for fun and develop their literacy skills.

On International Literacy Day 2022, we’re proud to celebrate our 11th year of the Young Readers Programme.
