T-Systems Take Part in the UK Challenge 2017

T-Systems employees who took part in the UK Challenge 2017. They are wearing magenta outfits and medals.

T-Systems have recently taken part in the 2017 UK Challenge (6-9 July) 2017. A three-day challenge that consists of a variety of events, challenging participants both mentally and physically. T-Systems had two teams in the event, Team Magenta and Team T-Systems who have pushed themselves, both mentally and physically, in order to complete the event and raise money for their 2017 nominated charity – Help for Heroes. This also forms part of their key CSR commitment to ‘Give Something Back’.

‘Give Something Back’ at T-Systems encourages their employees to take a paid day off each year in order to volunteer for a charity of their choice. Whether this be volunteering in a charity shop, training for/ competing in a fund-raising charity event, staffing the telephones in the charity offices or supporting a community project, these are all ways that T-Systems employees get involved.

In 2017, T-Systems offered their employees the chance to get involved in the UK Challenge, the UK’s leading team development event, created to test the limits of the participants through a series of activities such as sprinting, canoeing, problem solving and mountain biking, to name a few.

The T-Systems teams have had a great few days at the UK Challenge and to top it all off, they have received the Best Fundraising Company award from the UK Challenge. This is for all of the fantastic work that they have been doing to raise money for their nominated charity - Help for Heroes.

T-Systems have been documenting their time at the UK Challenge on their Twitter page, please click here to see what they have been getting up to at the event and how they have been doing.

Both of T-Systems teams scored well in the UK Challenge, with Team Magenta coming in 22nd place overall, whilst Team T-Systems came in 39th place overall. Well Done to both T-Systems teams!

For those T-Systems employees who prefer a more sedate pace to that of the UK Challenge, they will have the opportunity to take part in the Thames Path Challenge later on in the year, which takes participants to 16 of London’s bridges in a sponsored 25km walk for their nominated charity.
