T-Systems use health calendar to promote employee wellbeing

T-Systems places a strong focus on its employees’ wellbeing and has introduced the UK Wellbeing programme health calendar that encourages T-Systems employees to focus on a different wellbeing topic each month; for example, “Take Care in the Sun”, “Drink less Caffeine” and “Exercise more”.

T-Systems have seen a significant increase in their employees accessing their online materials, including fact sheets, podcasts and top tips. In total, there has been a 37% increase in individuals viewing the online materials and a 75% increase in the subject: Taking Care in the Sun. There was also a 69% increase on the topic of hydration. T-Systems is glad to see that their employees are having such a positive response to the wellbeing programme and they can see that it is making a big difference to employees.

T-Systems also focuses on employee wellbeing in a number of other ways, for example they offer their employees a number of rewards and benefits, such as flexible benefits which allow individuals the freedom to decide which rewards they would like to receive as part of their package. They are also given the ability to select which benefits best suit their needs, including health, wealth, protection and lifestyle.

T-Systems also have the following wellbeing initiatives:

Pension Scheme – T-Systems operates a double matching group personal pension plan to help you plan and provide towards retirement. Contributions that you opt for attract a contribution from the company. Contributions of 2.5% from employee double matched by company at 5%.

Holiday Entitlement - 25 days annual holiday, which increases in line with employment service.

Private Medical Insurance - This benefit gives you and, if you choose, your partner and family access to private healthcare for treatment of an eligible acute medical condition.

Life Assurance - You will be covered for life assurance cover at 4x salary in the event of death in service with T-Systems.  You can also choose to increase your level of cover as part of your flexible benefits.

Group Income Protection - Group Income Protection gives you the security that if you do go off work on long term sickness you will have a percentage of your salary paid to you each month until you recover and are able to return to work.

Gym Membership - GymFlex gives you access to a huge range of UK wide gyms, health clubs and leisure centres with a choice of membership for yourself and your partner. You will benefit from corporate rates and NI savings on top of up to £400 or 75% employer funding towards your membership.

Health Assessment - T-Systems provides funding for all employees to have a health assessment or screening every 2 years.

Company Sick Pay - In the event of absence from work due to ill-health, you will be eligible to receive Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) and Company enhanced sick pay increasing in line with service of employment with company.

Childcare Vouchers - If you are a working parent, childcare vouchers are a flexible and cost-effective way of helping you to meet your childcare costs. The scheme not only helps to pay for the cost of your registered childcare through salary sacrifice, but the associated tax and National Insurance savings can help you with the numerous financial commitments that parents have to meet.

Cycle 2 Work - The Cycle 2 Work scheme can provide you with a bicycle (and/or accessories) to cycle to work, and to use in your free time, and you can save tax and National Insurance. This benefit is available to elect twice a year.
