Saturday 26th June was Armed Forces Day in the UK and I wanted to show my support and celebrate those who do so much in keeping our country safe.
At Capita, our connection with the Armed Forces runs deeply, as a partner to the UK Armed Forces and as an employer of serving personnel, reservists, veterans and family members of the Armed Forces community. I’m continually inspired by the courage, dedication, resilience and skill of those who serve and the selflessness of the families that support them.
I take Capita’s responsibility very seriously as a longstanding signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant (https://www.armedforcescovenant.gov.uk/about/). We will continue to work hard to uphold the principles of the Covenant. It is a pledge that at Capita we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve.
Many of my colleagues are Reservists, and others, support Cadets and charities associated with the Armed Forces. Capita colleagues are the partners of those serving, have family in the Forces, and have previously served. I’d like to thank each of them for what they have sacrificed and contributed. Huge numbers of them have helped to support the nation during the Covid-19 crisis and I continue to be very grateful to them for what they all do.
