Celebrating Pride: How GWR Colleagues Are Creating Inclusive Spaces Across the Network

June is Pride Month, and across the Great Western Railway network, colleagues are marking the occasion in the most visible way possible: by transforming their stations into welcoming, vibrant spaces that reflect the diversity of the communities they serve.

From colourful window displays to information boards packed with local resources, the effort going into these stations speaks to something much bigger than decoration. It speaks to a genuine commitment to ensuring that every passenger, regardless of who they are or who they love, feels seen and welcome from the moment they arrive.

Nowhere is this more evident than at Weston-Super-Mare, where GWR colleagues have gone above and beyond to create an environment that embraces Pride in every sense. Visitors arriving at the station are greeted with vibrant displays alongside a wealth of information, support materials, and details of Pride events and activities taking place across the town throughout June. It is the kind of welcome that turns a train station into something more: a community touchstone.
