dunnhumby's Celebration of Black History Month

This is how dunnhumby celebrated Black History Month, with frank, open and honest discussions - not only to recognise the contributions, but to educate on the culture and experiences faced by the community.

A massive well done to Iysha Stanley and the entire dhOne Network for organising such an important event and many thanks to our panellists for sharing their stories.

It was an absolute honour and pleasure to host a panel discussion today at dunnhumby celebrating Black History Month. A huge thank you to our panellists Akin Thomas, Dawn Duhaney, Marie Caliskan, Francis Ajie, Tayo Oseni-Alexis & Robert Bliss, who shared their thoughts and personal experiences in a candid, open and thought-provoking way.

I believe Black History Month is not only about celebrating the contributions that black people have made to society, but also about educating others on the culture, and at times, struggles faced by the community. I felt we achieved this today and opened the door for further conversations on how we can push the status quo in this space. Thank you to all the dunnhumby, Tesco and Tesco Bank colleagues that attended and the hard work of my Multicultural Network colleagues who helped to bring this together.
