To celebrate LGBT+ History Month, our colleagues within our LGBT+ network, Rainbow Alliance, organised learning sessions open to everyone across the business and to friends and family throughout the month of February. These were a great success, covering far-ranging topics, from the social exclusion felt by older generations to how far we still have to go in society to combat unconscious bias. We’ve put a video together to show you some of the highlights.
As a large organisation, we want to make sure we create an inclusive culture reflective of the diversity around us – of our clients, their customers, our colleagues and the communities we work in. It’s how we’ll continue to invite fresh perspectives into our work, discover innovative ways to positively impact the world around us. Our employee networks provide an additional place for people to connect and learn from each other, which anybody can get involved in. These include the Family Network, the Ability Network, Rainbow Alliance (LGBTQ+), Embrace (Race and Ethnicity) and the Multi-Faith Network. We’ve also recently launched our Wellbeing Network and our Gender Equality Network in 2021. These networks are led by our colleagues and supported by our executive committee to drive change and conversation across the business, as well as to mark important events, from Black History Month to Pride.
