Meet Bhavica Chauhan: Social Values Programme Coordinator at Red Snapper Group

I began work with Red Snapper Recruitment after my previous role was made redundant amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which obviously saw the world of work experience a dramatic shift due to COVID measures. Having been set to return to my position after my second baby, I unexpectedly took redundancy after the rules around my role were affected a great deal. I began to explore new opportunities, which started with a recruitment course from home.

I was then delighted to secure a 12-month contract as a Business Support Officer with Red Snapper Recruitment, through their Social Values Programme. This role allowed me to interact with Account Managers and Consultants whilst taking on everyday administrative responsibilities. After a few months, I was eager to get involved in other facets of the business, and I wasn’t disappointed as I was moved onto a fast-paced and growing policing account, supporting the staff recruitment function. The work was interesting and challenging, and I was thrilled to continue working in this capacity. 

As my contract with Red Snapper Recruitment came to an end, I was offered the role of Social Values Programme Coordinator as part of the wider group. While this was a contrast to my recruitment and resourcing duties with Red Snapper Recruitment, I was grateful for the opportunity not only to secure a permanent position, but to gain added exposure to the broader business, not to mention further interaction with the other teams. 

It’s gratifying to be able to work with the various communities where we deliver the organisation’s social value commitments. This includes providing a range of support that benefits these communities, whether it be environmental, inclusion, employment or equality related. Additionally, I have the pleasure of working with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders, supporting our apprentices and internship scheme.

It is truly rewarding to be able to work in an area of the business where we are able to make a genuine impact while helping other people, and I am grateful for being a part of something so fulfilling.
