New support for neurodivergent colleagues at Sanctuary

We’re delighted to have introduced new support for our neurodivergent colleagues, their managers and teammates.

As part of our commitment to our Inclusion for All diversity and inclusion strategy, we’re continually working to embed an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.

We know that neurodivergent people bring their own unique strengths to the workplace, from creative problem solving to attention to detail. We want to help our neurodivergent colleagues shine here at Sanctuary by making adjustments that address some of the challenges encountered.

We’re proud to announce that 77 people across our organisation are now trained as Neurodiversity Champions and ready to support.

We’ve also introduced a brand-new toolkit packed with guidance and resources for individuals with neurodiverse conditions and their colleagues and managers alike.

Neurodiversity refers to the natural variations in brain function and includes everyone, while neurodivergent describes those who are different from the neurotypical majority. This includes conditions such as Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and Tourette Syndrome.
