Celebrating Women in Construction Week at Sanctuary

Here at Sanctuary, we were excited to celebrate Women in Construction Week - with our new Women in Construction networking group hosting its first in-person event to mark the occasion.

The group hosted a roundtable event at our Worcester offices, offering members the chance to meet in person, share experiences, and celebrate achievements.

It also provided an opportunity to share thoughts on how they would like to see the group develop in the future.

A virtual event was also held, following this year’s Women in Construction Week theme of ‘Together we rise’. This celebrated the strength and knowledge of women and the vital role they play in shaping the future of the construction industry.

Alison Parker, Architectural Technician and one of our Women in Construction group leads, said: “We have a fantastic group of women already within the Construction and Development arm of our business, and lots of helpful colleagues who are supporting us with our goals and ambitions.

“Women are still underrepresented in the construction industry, so being part of an organisation that already beats those statistics is brilliant.”

Embedding an inclusive culture is one of our four key objectives in our Inclusion for All diversity and inclusion strategy.
