Menopause Policy at Hachette UK

We strive to always promote a culture of openness and inclusion within our workplace, and our inclusive Menopause Policy is just one small part of that. We believe in educating our people and making sure that everyone – whether you’re a cis woman, a trans man, intersex or non-binary - has the support they need to thrive within our teams.

For World Menopause Day! True to our inclusive culture, we launched our Menopause policy and author panel event in May 2022, demystifying this previously 'taboo' topic, showcasing our great support offering and normalising menopausal disclosures. To keep this topic alive, our next Menopause Panel was on the 16th of November, on the subject of Menopause: Self-Advocating With Your GP. We discussed the pros and cons of HRT, alternative treatments, misdiagnosis and tips on speaking to doctors. It was an insightful session interviewing our authors, Sarah Rayner and Doctor Patrick Fitzgerald, co-authors of Making Friends with the Menopause.
