Black Lawyers Directory

BLD, also known as the Black Lawyers Directory, was launched in 2006 and was the brainchild of Debo Nwauzu. BLD's aim is to make a real difference on diversity by changing lives and transforming businesses by taking positive actions - not just talking. We highlight areas where a lot is being done and areas that could do better. We also provide information and showcase the talent of black and ethnic minority members of the legal profession. Our aim is not to name and shame but to encourage, cajole and ask: "Why not?"

At BLD we strive to achieve our fundamental aim of highlighting and promoting diversity within the legal profession in a multitude of ways, including:

• Publication of the annual ground-breaking Black Letter Law publication, which showcases the achievements of Black, Asian and other ethnic minorities within the legal profession - from partners at the top UK 100 law firms, General Counsel and Professors of Law, to judges and Queen’s Counsel (QCs).This publication is available to buy as a paperback, an ebook on Amazon (for use on Kindle Fire), Kobo, iBookstore and other well-known ebook retailers. Furthermore it is also online with its own dedicated Black Letter Law Publication website.
