Would you like to gain experience, build confidence, meet new people and help create positive change for young people across your community?
Whether you're taking your first steps into volunteering, interested in social action, advocacy and peer-led change, considering a future career in criminology, sociology, psychology, law, youth justice or community work, or have lived experience of issues affecting young people, we'd love to hear from you.
Our Voice Shared (Our VS) is Victim Support Gloucestershire's Youth Advisory Group. Members work together to influence services, shape projects, design resources, raise awareness and ensure the voices of young people are heard where decisions are made.

Volunteering with Victim Support in Gloucestershire As a volunteer in Gloucestershire your role can include:
- Monthly meetings online or in person
- Flexible opportunities to contribute between meetings
- Participation in youth-led projects and campaigns
- Opportunities to attend community events and consultations
- Helping create a safer community where young people feel heard and valued
Requirements for the Role In order to join us as a Volunteer Supporter, you must:
- Be aged between 13-21 years of age (if you are 13-15 you will need to obtain parental consent to take part).
- Be able to volunteer for at least 2 hours per month.
- Complete thirty minutes of training.
- Have an active email address that you are comfortable using in order to engage with VS communications.
Expenses - All Victim Support volunteers are entitled to out-of-pocket expenses incurred whilst volunteering, including travel and lunch.
