About the Role

Are you a passionate Science Teacher looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking secondary school seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher to join their science department.

Key Duties

• Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that challenge and motivate students of all abilities.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic achievement.
• Create an inclusive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to participate and succeed.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and classroom standards.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Science department to develop resources, share best practice, and contribute to curriculum planning.
• Support students' personal development and wellbeing through positive relationships and effective pastoral care.
• Ensure all practical lessons are delivered safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
• Play an active role in the wider school community through parents' evenings, enrichment activities, and departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for Science and inspiring young people to achieve their best.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons across the Science curriculum.
• The ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners with a range of abilities.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• A professional, organised, and positive attitude.
