The University of Liverpool invites applications from internationally established and distinguished academic leaders for the prestigious Wortley Chair in Manufacturing Engineering within the Department of Materials, Design and Manufacturing Engineering, School of Engineering.

The Department brings together internationally recognised expertise across manufacturing engineering, advanced materials, product design, laser processing, digital engineering, biomedical engineering and nuclear engineering.

This appointment represents an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of manufacturing research and innovation within a research-intensive Russell Group university.

We seek a Professor of Manufacturing Engineering with a sustained record of world-leading research excellence, major research leadership and significant international influence.

You will be recognised as a leading authority in your field, with an outstanding track record of securing substantial research funding, leading large-scale collaborative programmes and delivering research with international impact. You will have the vision, ambition and standing to shape research agendas, develop strategic partnerships and further enhance Liverpool's global reputation for excellence in manufacturing engineering.
