Workshop Technician to join our Construction Faculty and play a vital role in creating an outstanding practical learning environment for our students. The role focuses on maintaining workshops, equipment, and resources while supporting the delivery of practical construction training.
What You'll Be Doing - Preparing and maintaining construction workshops for practical lessons.
- Ensuring tools, equipment and materials are safe, organised and ready for use.
- Supporting lecturers during practical sessions and demonstrations.
- Carrying out routine equipment inspections, maintenance and minor repairs.
- Managing stock levels, deliveries and workshop resources.
- Promoting excellent health and safety standards, including risk assessments and COSHH compliance.
What We're Looking For - A Level 2 qualification or recognised trade qualification in a construction discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Recent experience working within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction tools, materials, equipment and safe working practices.
- Experience maintaining workshop environments and managing resources.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
