Workforce Planning and Transformation Business Partner

37.5 hours per week

Fixed term for 12 months (Secondment will be considered)

Salary: £57,528 - £64,750 per annum

Main duties of the job

  • The primaryobjectiveis to support the delivery of bestpossible carefor patients at both George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust (GEH) and South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT).
  • You will play a key role in developing and delivering strategic workforce plans to ensure both Trusts have the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time.
  • You will work alongside People, Education and Finance colleagues to be the subject matter expert in workforce planning and transformation, with the ultimate aim of improving our People Practices. You will lead on our people planning approach, shaping organisational strategy and contributing regionally and nationally.
  • This role works across both GEH and SWFT. Working from home is supported although attendance at on-site meetings will be expected as required.

  • This is a new post working across GEH and SWFT, collaborating with colleagues in HR, Finance, Strategy and Education to develop workforce plans that not only meet the strategic objectives of the organisation but support the development of a future-ready workforce
  • Lead on the implementation of strategic workforce planning for the Trust, informed by business strategy and operating plans as well as relevant internal and external data to help ensure the supply of appropriately trained and skilled employees to meet current and future business needs. To undertake this work in consultation with key stakeholders, in particular People Business Partners, the Chief Operating Officer, ChiefNurseand Chief Medical Officer.
  • Lead workforce modelling and scenario planning to anticipatefuture workforce demand and supply.
  • Analyse workforce data to identifytrends,risks and opportunities for workforce transformationTo provide professional leadership to the Workforce team.Responsible for the line management and professional development of a team of Workforce Managers, Analysts and Advisers in the Workforce Team.

  • Significant operational people experience with experience of developing the workforce aspects of operational business plans
  • Evidence of leading the workforce elements of key organisational change programmes and devising People solutions which ensure consistency
  • Experience in workforce planning, analytics, or transformation in a healthcare or public sector setting
  • Experience of advising managers on complex change processes including restructuring, redundancy and TUPE transfers
  • Track record of leading or supporting complex change programmes
  • Demonstrable experience of proactively identifying workforce issues and implementing effective plans to address these
