Windows Infrastructure SME - SC clearedContract length: 6 monthsLocation: London/hybrid splitClearance: Active SC/DV required. NPPV3 desirable.We are looking for a Windows Infrastructure SME to support a legacy estate spanning Windows Server 2003 and 2012 alongside Windows XP endpoints. This is a hands-on technical role covering day-to-day support, stabilisation and [migration/consolidation/decommission] activity across core infrastructure services.You will be the escalation point for domain, network and messaging issues in an environment where modern tooling is not always available, so depth of legacy platform knowledge matters more than breadth of current-generation certification.Essential skillsActive Directory and Domain Services: design, administration, troubleshooting, GPO, DNS/DHCPCore networking: routing, switching, firewall rules, VLANs, network troubleshooting to packet levelMail servers and SMTP relays: configuration, routing, queue management, transport troubleshootingSQL Server: administration, backup/restore, performance troubleshooting, patchingScripting for automation and estate management (PowerShell, VBScript, batch)Demonstrable production experience with Windows Server 2003 and 2012Windows XP support and administration in a managed estateDesirableExperience migrating or decommissioning end-of-life Windows platformsPrior work in central government / secure environmentsUnderstanding of working within accredited or air-gapped networksWindows Infrastructure SME - SC cleared
