Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised Ward Sisters Administrator to join our team on 5 North at Royal Papworth Hospital. 5 North is a 41 bedded cardiothoracic surgical ward, specialising in heart and lung transplantation, pulmonary thromboendarterectomy and artificial heart devices. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload effectively. You will be a confident communicator, able to build positive working relationships across the multidisciplinary team and demonstrate a flexible and responsive approach to the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

As the Ward Sisters Administrator, you will work closely with the Wards Sisters and clinical team to maintain ward functionality. You will provide administrative support in relation to clinical staffing matters, ensuring the smooth running of electronic rotas, induction of new staff, day-to-day workforce management and ensure that adequate stationery stocks are held, managed and ordered in a timely manner. Handling personnel information with the upmost confidentiality and discretion.

You will work alongside the Ward Sisters Administrator for 5 South and will be provided with mentorship and protected learning time as you develop into your role. This opportunity is for 30 hours per week and are open to discussing a job share with a current role you may hold.
