Job summary

Help shape brighter futures for children andyoung people at Hockley House.Hockley House is a pioneering newchildren's home in Romsey, supporting young people aged 12-18 with complexemotional, behavioural and mental health needs. As Hampshire's firstresidential home to bring together social care, healthcare and education in onesetting, our specialist team provides intensive, trauma-informed support tohelp children build stability, resilience and the skills they need to thrive.

Joining Hockley House as a Waking NightSupport Worker is a rare opportunity to be part of a brand-new service.Working alongside residential, health and education professionals, you'll helpcreate a safe, nurturing environment where young people can rest, feel secureand build positive relationships while remaining connected to their familiesand communities, supporting them towards greater independence and brighterfutures.

Main duties of the job

Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.

Provide overnight supervision, ensuring children and young people feel safe, supported and secure throughout the night.

Complete regular welfare checks and maintain accurate records and reports.

Support young people to develop independence, routines and resilience.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver therapeutic care plans.

Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive outcomes.

Help create a safe, nurturing and stable home environment.
