Job description

Part-time: 0.6 FTE Indefinite

We are looking for two highly motivated individuals to join the academic team at Harper & Keele Veterinary School as Veterinary Teaching Fellow on a part-time basis.

The post holders will be a key part of the programme team focussing on the delivery of practical and case-based learning throughout the transition and clinical phase of the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVetMS) programme. The successful candidates must be Members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) (or be eligible for RCVS registration without the requirement to sit the statutory membership examination).

This team of academics will ensure that veterinary students develop comprehensive, holistic, transferable, relevant, and informed capabilities and attributes to optimise their preparedness to enter the veterinary profession. Supporting the team of veterinary general practice lecturers, the post holders will bring their experience in veterinary practice and utilise individual discipline or sector-related expertise.

The Teaching Fellows would also provide academic mentoring and pastoral support to undergraduate veterinary students.
