Base: Whipps Cross Hospital (with sessions at The Royal London Hospital)

An excellent opportunity for an ST3+ Doctor to gain hands-on dermatology experience within a busy London teaching trust. This role offers a varied timetable including 2WW clinics, general dermatology, biopsy lists, and paediatric dermatology, alongside exposure tospecialist clinics at The Royal London Hospital

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Essential: MRCP (or equivalent), GMC registration, IMT2 level or above
Desirable: Dermatology or research experience

Essential criteria
  • MBBS/ or equivalent
  • Full License to practice - GMC Registration


Desirable criteria
  • MRCP


Knowledge/ Skills

Essential criteria
  • Experience in General medicine
  • Participation in audit, quality improvement and governance activities
  • Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
  • Skilled in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups
  • Time Management Team player Demonstrates ability to work effectively under pressure


Desirable criteria
  • Experience of dermatology assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and in patient settings.
  • Experience of working within a dermatology setting
  • Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision


Academic Achievements/ Research/Publications

Desirable criteria
  • Publications in peer reviewed journals
  • Presentations at Local / National / International meetings.
