Training Adviser

Location: Cardigan (covering South Ceredigion and North Pembrokeshire)
Contract: Fixed-Term until 31 March 2027 (annual extension subject to Welsh Government funding)

About the Role

Futureworks is looking for a passionate Training Adviser to support young people aged 16-19 (expanding to 16-24 from April 2027) to develop skills, confidence and employability through the Jobs Growth Wales+ programme and other employability initiatives.

You will deliver engaging group sessions and one-to-one support, helping participants overcome barriers, gain qualifications, improve wellbeing and progress into employment, education or further training. A key part of the role involves preparing learners for work and supporting high-quality work placements that lead to positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver employability, personal development and work-readiness training.
• Provide one-to-one coaching and careers guidance.
• Develop individual learning and action plans.
• Support learners to access and succeed in work placements.
• Build relationships with employers and partner organisations.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

About You

You will have experience of supporting young people or adults, delivering training or employability programmes, and motivating individuals to achieve their goals. Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills are essential.

Essential Requirements

• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable

• Teaching/training qualification.
• Assessor Award.
• EWC registration.
• Welsh language skills.
