NON CYC VACANCY About Veritau Veritau provides assurance services to local authorities, schools and other public sector clients, helping our clients to operate effectively, mitigate risks and comply with laws and regulations.
Our main services include internal audit, counter fraud, information governance and risk management. Were owned by our member councils, meaning our work sits at the heart of the public sector. Our main offices are in York, Northallerton and Leicester but we provide services across the country.
Location Flexible you can work from any of our offices or adopt a hybrid working approach. You may be required to attend our offices for meetings and training events, visit client offices or other premises, and undertake other client related activities. During the induction period, we will expect employees to work in one of our main offices for a number of days. This is to support training and learning, and to provide you with the opportunity to meet other team members.
Trainee Internal Auditor 27,274 - 29,542 (plus 3% performance related pay) Location flexible Contract permanent Hours - full-time 37 hours or part time We're looking for a Trainee Internal Auditor to undertake a training programme which will lead to membership of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors. This role represents an excellent opportunity to train for a professional career in the public sector. Veritaus graduate trainee programme lasts two years and includes completing a professional qualification in the relevant field. Trainees are supported throughout the programme, with paid study leave and experienced colleagues who act as mentors.
Reporting to the Director Internal Audit / Assistant Director Internal Audit (AD) / Internal Audit Manager (IAM), you will assist in the delivery of high-quality risk-based audit services across a wide-ranging portfolio, gaining experience of local authority service delivery.
Our employment package includes membership of a generous pension scheme and 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days after five years continuous service and to 32 days after 10 years continuous service. We also offer flexible working arrangements including the possibility of hybrid working.
