We are recruiting a Telecare Operator at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 24 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time

We pay an attractive salary of £19,161.08 - £20,122.38 and offer access to training and development opportunities.Join our Telecare team and play a vital role in supporting people to remain safe and independent in their own homes.
Based in our 24/7 Response Centre in Caerphilly, you will respond to alarm activations and telephone calls, providing reassurance, advice and coordinating appropriate support when needed.
This post is for 24 hours per week, working two 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) across a rolling rota, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Night shifts attract an additional shift allowance.
This role requires confident communication and IT skills, good attention to detail, a strong desire to help others, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
For the role, we ask that you have: - A Level 2 qualification
- An awareness and understanding of the needs of service users (generally older and / or vulnerable members of the community).
- Previous experience of customer service in a busy environment.
- A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes.
