As the Carpentry Technician, you will be providing technical support to the faculty of Construction for all students and staff within the division of Brickwork, Carpentry, Plastering and General Construction.

This is a part-time role, working 25.9 hours per week.

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Day to day duties

• Assisting the Construction Teaching Staff in the management of workshops, classrooms, and outdoor training areas.
• Organising and providing the safe storage, usage, and working of all materials and equipment by both staff and students, in conformity with Health and Safety regulations.
• Assisting staff in the management and the purchase of resources and equipment.
• Safely setting up, preparing learning activities, and / or designing, as appropriate, equipment for the use of students and staff.

Required skills and qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Construction.
• Up to date knowledge of Construction practices.
• Relevant experience.
