Department: Digital & Creative Industries
Salary: £34,484 - £38,811 per annumContract Type: Temporary Full-time 37 hours per week until 31 July 2027

The Opportunity

We are seeking two inspirational and innovative AI Teachers to join our Digital & Creative Industries team and play a leading role in delivering the groundbreaking AI Career Launchpad programme.

The AI Career Launchpad is an exciting employer-led programme designed to bridge the gap between education and employment.

Aligned to Level 4 AI and Automation Practitioner outcomes, the programme combines specialist teaching, employer projects, workplace placements and professional development to prepare learners for careers in artificial intelligence, automation and digital innovation.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant programme whilst helping shape the future AI workforce.

Working closely with employers, industry partners and curriculum colleagues, you will inspire learners to apply AI and automation skills to real-world challenges whilst developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required in today's rapidly evolving digital workplace.

In addition to teaching, you will have dedicated time to contribute to curriculum development, create innovative learning resources, develop open-source materials and support the continuous improvement of this pioneering programme.

About You

You are passionate about the potential of artificial intelligence to transform organisations, industries and careers. You have experience in teaching, training, coaching or mentoring within AI, computing, digital technologies, software development, data or automation, and can engage and inspire learners from a variety of backgrounds.

You will be innovative, organised and committed to delivering outstanding learning experiences that prepare learners for employment and progression in emerging digital careers.

You will also be confident working collaboratively with colleagues, employers and external partners to develop impactful learning opportunities.

Below is a list of some of the key skills, qualifications and experience we are seeking for this exciting opportunity.

Required
  • Degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in Artificial Intelligence, Computing, Data Science, Software Engineering, Digital Technologies or a closely related subject.
  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 or above.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent Level 2 qualifications.
  • Recent experience of teaching, training, coaching or mentoring in AI, Computing, Data, Software, Automation or a related digital discipline.
  • Practical experience of applying AI, automation, data or digital technologies in workplace or project-based settings.
  • Experience of developing high-quality curriculum and learning materials, including digital or open educational resources.
