Job Summary We are looking for an experienced legal secretary to provide full secretarial and administrative support to client advisory colleagues in our Dispute Resolution department.
Responsibilites: - Liaising with lawyers to identify their work commitments and prioritise work accordingly
- Diary management
- Arranging meetings and appointments both internally and externally
- Managing production of documents (supported by the Document Production team)
- Audio and copy typing for complex and confidential documents (typing will also be supported by the Document Production team)
- Handle client telephone enquiries in a polite & professional manner within the agreed timescales
- General administration
- Assist lawyers in the billing and credit control process
- Booking travel and meetings and dealing with expenses (if required)
- Participate in projects at the discretion of management
Skills, Knowledge and Experience required: - Legal secretarial experience required
- Experience of dealing directly with clients by telephone
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines under pressure
- Ability to use initiative
- Attention to detail
- Experience with BigHand, iManage and Elite 3E would be beneficial for this role
- Litigation experience would be advantageous
