Post: Support Practitioner

Service: North Ayrshire Prevention, Early intervention and Recovery (PEAR) Service

Based: Stevenson and surrounding areas

Hours: Full Time & Part Time Available

Salary: £25,879 - £26,843 (pro-rata)

Contract: Permanent

Turning Point Scotland's North Ayrshire Prevention, Early intervention and Recovery (PEAR) Service is looking for Support Practitioners to join their small, but mighty team.

North Ayrshire (P.E.A.R.) Service is a drug and alcohol support service based in Stevenston.

What you'll do
  • Review and update support plans, risk assessments and risk management plans.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment for colleagues, people we support and the wider community.
  • Deliver 1-2-1 outreach support
  • Deliver and participate in group workshops and group activities

What we're looking for
  • Experience of working in a drug and alcohol service is desirable
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Someone who understands and genuinely values the benefits of a personal recovery journey


North Ayrshire PEAR service

We involve all of the individuals who use our service to shape our service and benefit communities. They have an input into what activities we offer that will benefit them in their recovery and beyond. We offer 1-2-1 support, group work, therapeutic activities including relaxation and acu-detox in service and community settings. We are a very person-centred support service and stay in line with our logo "Your journey, your way. Your service, your say".
