Student Transitions Teacher (Educational Partnerships Unit)

Job description

The University of Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint three Student Transitions Teachers to join the Educational Partnerships Unit (EPU).

The Educational Partnerships Unit oversees the University's collaborative provision, ensuring partnerships are effectively managed and meet quality and regulatory requirements. Through innovative transition and preparatory programmes, the Unit supports students to access, succeed and progress within higher education.

This exciting role focuses on supporting applicants as they prepare to enter higher education through our Prepare for Foundation and Prepare for Degree programmes. Working with a diverse range of learners, including mature students returning to education and school leavers, you will deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences that build confidence, develop academic skills and support successful progression into Foundation Year and Level 4 study.

A key aspect of the role is the delivery of Prepare for Foundation and Prepare for Degree assessment and transition activities at partner institutions across the UK. You will also contribute to the continuous enhancement of the student experience through collaboration with colleagues across the University and its partnership network.

About You

You will be a qualified and experienced teacher with a strong commitment to widening participation and student success. You will have experience of teaching learners in the post-compulsory sector and be able to adapt your approach to meet the needs of students from a wide range of educational backgrounds.

You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised and confident working independently across multiple locations, while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
