Job Description
Job Title: Student Futures Co-ordinator
Reports to: Director Student Futures
Department: Student Support and Success (Student Futures)
Grade: RU04
Main purpose of the job: As the Student Futures Coordinator, you will work as part of a dedicated student-facing team, contributing to employability outcomes for students. You will act as the first point of contact for students, visitors, and colleagues, both in the Careers hub and online. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality administrative support, coordinating events, and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Communications & Marketing 1. Develop, coordinate, and deliver an active social media presence, including the creation of engaging video
content. 2. Create and curate high-quality support materials/content, including alumni success stories and student
facing resources. 3. Support multi-channel marketing and communications activities, including the production of promotional
materials and student case studies. 4. Research, collate and share employment, internship and placement opportunities for students and
graduates
Events & Opportunities 1. Support the delivery of SF events, including workshops, seminars, meetings, and fairs. 2. Coordinate University open day activities 3. Support across projects, schemes and events 4. Research and publicise external opportunities, including placements, internships, and graduate jobs.
Functional & Front-of-House 1. Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries from students, visitors, and colleagues, providing support
both in the career's hub and via online channels. 2. Oversee Careers, Employer Connect and Placements email inboxes.
3. Support Student Futures (SF) managers with daily operational tasks and wider departmental projects.
Administration & Finance 1. Provide finance and supplier administration support using the University's finance system, Agresso. 2. Help maintain online early careers platforms and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
Personal Project 1. Lead on an agreed area of broader interest and become the in-house specialist sharing research,
knowledge and training with colleagues
Other 1. Keep abreast of safeguarding procedures and understand how to refer at-risk students to relevant Student
Support and Success departments. 2. Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected as part of this role and in line
with the changing needs of the service.

Education and Qualifications
Essential • Educated to degree level and or equivalent experience in
marketing, events, project management, or student engagement.
Desirable • Experience of working in a marketing and/or creative environment
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Proficient in using Social Media platforms to engage with students and graduates.
• Graphic design skills using, Canva, CapCut etc.
• Strong administration skills including general office management, overseeing financial transactions, event management.
• Proven and excellent interpersonal skills. • Ability to operate independently and manage one's own workload.
Ability to operate as part of a wider team.
• Adaptability to learn new processes and technology. • Detail-oriented problem solver
Desirable • Experience of using AI to automate daily/weekly processes
Work Experience Essential
• Experience of event and/or project management and ability to deliver to deadline and budget.
• Experience using social media as an engagement tool for students/young persons in an organisational context.
• Experience of delivering high and continually improving levels of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Communication Skills
Essential
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of student and staff stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Evidence of good networking and collaboration skills including maintaining good partnership working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong, grammatically correct written English. The role holder may proofread or edit the work of others.

Additional Information • The appointment is offered on a fixed term basis, immediately, subject to references. • The role will be based at least 4 days a week on site. • The appointment is usually made at the bottom of the range. Where a candidate's current total
remuneration already exceeds the bottom point, consideration will be given to the level of skills, experience, and profile that the candidate is bringing to the role.
• The annual leave entitlement is 25 days p.a., additionally there are 3 - 4 days when the university closes for Christmas.
• Your normal hours of work will be 35 hours per week, plus a lunch break of one hour each day. • The post will work 4-5 days on campus with possibly 1 from home, due to the nature of work being
front facing.
