Detailed job description and main responsibilities Liaison with customers regarding deliveries.
• Deliver goods as required, in the process complying with health and safety at work regulations
• To assist the team in providing an efficient, and customer focussed goods receipt despatch service to the Trust.
• To ensure all orders delivered are signed for by the appropriate member of staff using the agreed documentation.
• Collect items requiring return to suppliers or to go for auction.
• Respond to any queries and enquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
• Load/unload vehicles in a safe manner. Operate any other stores handling equipment within agree operational procedures.
• Attend compulsory Trust Training when required (Fire, Manual Handling)
• Have a flexible attitude to working hours to meet the needs of the Trust.
• Assist the team in ensuring that the Stores Vehicle and Fork Lift (where trained and qualified to do so) are used in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and or operational procedures and that they are operated in accordance with agreed procedures.
• To access emails and Trust software systems as required.
• To carry out any duties as may be required by the team, as may be reasonably expected within the scope of the post.
Person specificationQualifications Essential criteria - Good general standard of education to at least GCSE level or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence
Experience Essential criteria - Experience of working in a Stores Environment
- Customer Service Experience
Desirable criteria - Experience of working in a Hospital Stores environment
Knowledge Essential criteria - IT Skills including use of MS Office
- Team Player/Flexible
- Able to cope with physical demands of role
Desirable criteria - Manual Handling training/use of aids
- Ability to work under pressure
