Job summary

Band 5 staff nurse in Coronary Care

CCU is a 13 bedded acute cardiac unit, emergency portal, tertiary centre for PPCI, nursing level 2 patient with acute cardiac needs such as life threatening arrythmias, heart failure and other acute complex cardiac conditions.

Main duties of the job

Registered Nurse on NMC registerDiploma in Nursing Evidence of degree level study in health/nursing related studies

Ongoing personal / professional development

Good communication skills.

Evidence of on-going professional education in a specialist area

Mentorship qualification or equivelant Formal teaching to groups of staff

To provide a high standard of clinical nursing within the department To manage a group of patients To take charge of the unit when rostered and assessed as competent to take on the roles and responsibilities of leadership and supervision To act as a role model to students and Nursing Assistants, Assistant Practitioners/trainees and Nursing Associates/trainees. To present a positive, professional image of the organisation and of the nursing team.
