Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Within Mid and South Essex there are 149 GP practices, operating from over 200 sites, forming 27 Primary Care Networks and one Ambulance Trust. There are also three main community and mental health service providers who work together through a community collaborative.

We collaborate with other valuable partners, including three Healthwatch organisations, nine voluntary and community sector organisations and three top tier local authorities, with seven district, borough and city councils, as well as our local universities.

We are looking for a motivated individual to work on SEW Feering who excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of our friendly team.

As a Staff Nurse you will be helping with admissions, transfers and discharges from ED of surgical and urology patients to a busy surgical assessment unit.

You will provide a high standard of individualised care to patients, acting as a role model and supporting the sisters /Charge nurse in driving quality care provision forward.

Main duties of the job

If successful, some of your duties will include:
  • Admitting, transferring and discharging surgical and urology patients from Broomfield and Basildon.
  • Relevant nursing tasks including (but not restricted to) drug administration, wound care, drain care, pre and post operative care, personal care, pressure area care etc.
  • Completing relevant nursing paperwork and assessments.
  • Liaising with Senior staff and bed management to keep the patient flow.
