Job summaryWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated
parttime 22.5 hours Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist.This post will bebased in Honiton andwill be part of the highly supportive East and Mid S< Team, delivering acommunity speech and language therapy service to children and young peoplewithin clinic and education settings.

Main duties of the jobThe speech andlanguage therapy service within CFHD have transformed to work within theBalanced System framework.
The Speech, Language and Communication pathway consists of Speech andLanguage Therapists and Therapy Assistants working across Devon and Torbay.
The aim of the team is to ensurethat specialist support is easily accessible within the community settings,providing both direct support to children, young people and families, and tothe wider community teams.
Everyone in the team is providedwith regular supervision, opportunities for training and development.
- To independently manage, withaccess to support from more senior colleagues and the team, a caseload ofchildren and young people in the Exeter area with developmental disorders ofspeech, language and communication.
- The provision of a speech and language therapy service of assessment,diagnosis and treatment of developmental disorders of speech, language andcommunication.
- To provide appropriate intervention and evaluate outcomes.
- To provide advice to parents and carers, early years and school staff andother professionals on matters relating to the speech, language andcommunication needs of individual children and young people.
- To set up and monitor programmes to be carried out by other key workers.
- To write reports reflecting specialist knowledge.
